KYS Annual Appeal
Being a Charitable Trust, KYS is always exploring new and creative ways to fund its work. With this in mind we launched our first ever annual street appeal in May 2015 – “Coining it for KYS”. Staff from KYS, Youth Reps from the local colleges and volunteers from the community all pitched in to help collect from sites around the Kapiti region from Paekakariki to Otaki. With all the coins collected from the Appeal we created an amazing coin art mural of music superstar Ed Sheeran which was displayed in our local Coastlands shopping mall, and was available for public viewing all weekend. The KYS Annual Appeal is held every year in May. We rely heavily on volunteers for this event, so if you feel you could contribute by collecting for us on the day, please get in touch.
